Cool down in the Rainforest by visiting one of the many villages in the area. Take a journey to Kuranda on an historic railway, where the views of the Barron River Falls will indeed leave you breathless. Enjoy the Kuranda Markets, and its locally made ice cream, and sample our rare tropical fruit delicacies. Then relax in comfort as you take in the birds-eye view of this unspoilt land on the Skyrail, where you not only get to enjoy the rainforest, but are rewarded with a spectacular view over Cairns. You can even see out to the reef to Green Island. If you travel along the North Queensland tropical coastline with the rainforest on one side and the coral sea on the other. You could either, hire a car and drive yourself, or join an experienced local guided 4WD adventure to Cape Tribulation, see Port Douglas a lovely sea-side town, take the plunge into the icy waters of Mossman Gorge, enjoy the serenity of Daintree Village, in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, cross the Daintree River on the ferry to beautiful Cape Tribluation. This is truly a magnificent stretch of the Australian coast!
